I have heard nothing but positive feedbacks for Ms. Pia, and during the first 10 minutes of her class, the feedbacks were proven true! Her tone of voice is very well modulated that catches your attention. Not only that, she relates everyday circumstances to the topic/future topics, making the course more interesting. She asks questions that make you think about your decisions and actions.
One of the questions that struck me was "Why do you work?" -- this is a very significant question for me, and I had several answers for this question alone.
With just one simple question, it made me recall how my life was for the past 13 years. That question made me think how my answers vary depending on where I was with my life. I am happy that I learn and grow with my life's events. And I want to continue to learn and to grow. Engage myself in continuous education, continuous exploration, continuous listening; thus, continuously learning and growing. Looking at the life of St. John Baptist De La Salle, he wanted education to be for everyone, especially offer equal opportunities to poor young men to be educated. He used his talents and advanced education at the service of the children. St. John Baptist De La Salle sacrificed what he had in order to pursue his vow to help and form the Brothers of the Christian Schools. As it is in every change, there is resistance; nonetheless, St. John Baptist De La Salle together with the brothers succeeded in forming quality schools for the poor. There is the sense of vocation and mission as well as the involvement of the parents to help reach for their goals (http://www.lasalle.org/en/who-are-we/st-john-baptist-de-la-salle/). I admire the dedication and perseverance of St. John Baptist De La Salle and the brothers. Their determination for the poor to receive high-quality education made him and the brothers selfless persons. They dedicated themselves in serving others and helping them be better persons by being properly educated. They did not only gave-up their own lives and vocation but they were able to establish several training, reform, technical and secondary schools. These sacrifices all the more made their lives better and complete. They have fulfilled their passion, they have help improve the lives of many. In my life, I want to be as determined and as passionate as they are. Dedicated to pursue my dreams and goals, prioritizing my family, my husband and my daughter above my work and my school. Furthermore, I want to be able to do something that will help other people believe in themselves, have the courage to take risks and pursue what they really want in life without hesitations and without minding what other has to say. All these will be possible with God’s guidance, with my family’s support and with my valued mentors at my MBA studies.

I can tell that you will be able to complete your MBA as early as now. Your succinct recollection of how you adjusted with the demands of your personal life manifests the necessary skills needed to succeed in the ever-changing realm of business. Nowadays, technology, social media and consumer attitudes are within reach. This is like a dual-edge sword. Technology makes us more available, easily reachable and functional. On the other hand, this can be devastating if these translate to extended accountability. It is OK to work from home, but there should be a sure demarcation of work-time, over-time and family time. I believe that you have done great so far. I will look forward to read more from this blog. God Bless you and your family.

Hi Lou! Thank you for your words of encouragement. Yes, I do hope and pray to finish my MBA degree. With the support of my family and friends like you, I believe and claim that this is possible. Time management is very important as I have to set my priorities right as a mother, wife, daughter, employee and student. Nonetheless, if you are motivated and determined to pursue your goals, then nothing will be too difficult. I am doing this not just for myself but for my family, especially my daughter.
